Glaisnock House - our new venue

COMMON GROUND 2007 turned out to be another good one - work starts now for 2008!

Common Ground is as much about its students as its tutors. Partly because of Common Ground week being part of a six weeks programme, and partly as a result of a venue change to near Dumfries, several new people joined us this summer. We hope that some new long-term developments will come out of this summer and that we will be able to add yet more elements to our programme leading up to the summer of 2008.

We had a new venue planned for our summer school in 2007. This was to be Glaisnock House, near Cumnock, Ayrshire. For technical reasons we had to move to yet another venue but hope that we can return to Glaisnock for 2008. Find out more about Glaisnock

Finance is still a big challenge which we plan to address by encouraging some people to sign up for life memberships; with a fundraising calendar; the sale of some artwork; a sponsored mountain climb and other events. Dates for next year

2008 will be the 7th year of Common Ground Scotland. The 2008 the dates are 3rd to 10th August 2008. Now is the time to plan your holiday for next year - we are ready to take provisional bookings now.
