Common Ground Scotland
Ayrshire
, Scotland, 3rd - 10th August 2008

Common Ground Scotland will again be part of the 'Living Tradition Summer Schools' in 2008. The venue has changed since last year, we will no longer be using Glaisnock House. The new venue is in Dumfries & Galloway - it is a fabulous venue and despite the venue change being forced upon us, we anticipate it being a wonderful move. We will be making detailed announcements about the venue shortly. find our more about Living Tradition Summer Schools

The Common Ground Festival Weekend

Maggie MacInnes

At the end of the week of Common Ground workshops there is a Weekend Festival. Although most of the participants of the workshops week stay on for the final weekend - we welcome new people who either can't commit the time to the whole 8 days of events, or who just want to experience the flavour of Common Ground in a mopre typical festival weekend format. The Common Ground Festival Weekend has a strong Scottish flavour but it will not be exclusively Scottish nor will the focus be exclusively on traditional music.

FESTIVAL GUESTS: The festival guests for 2005 included:

Lyra Celtica Pete Coe Fraser Speirs Eddie Walker Rick Lee Maggie MacInnes Heather Heywood Neil Paterson Bobby RobbIain MacInnes'The Common Ground Allstars' Wendy Stewart and more..

Our guest list for 2006 is yet to be confirmed but. Whilst the names may change, the quality and variety will remain!
