Sketching Live Musicians Instructor: Manna Dobo
This drawing course is designed for both the professional and the 'I can't draw to save my life' folk. Starting with an informal talk on Rembrandt's small drawings and the jazzy figures of Matisse we will experiment with various ways of turning rhythm, melody, movement and mood into lines and marks. All drawing materials will be provided, but please bring a scetchbook (A5- A3 size). If you prefer your own pencils and crayons, make it soft (8B), and have a small box of oil/chalk pastels at the ready. We are looking forward to sharing a challenging but immensely rewarding course with you and the musicians.
