Ground Scotland Common Ground Scotland will again be part of the 'Living Tradition Summer Schools' in 2008. The venue has changed since last year, we will no longer be using Glaisnock House. The new venue is in Dumfries & Galloway - it is a fabulous venue and despite the venue change being forced upon us, we anticipate it being a wonderful move. August: COMMON GROUND FESTIVAL WEEKEND There will be a full programme of concerts, ceilidhs and sessions throughout the Festival Weekend at University Campus Ayr and at some venues within the town of Ayr. MASTERCLASSES A wide range of workshops including guitar, fiddle, whistle, banjo, Scots and Gaelic singing, Gospel Choir, songwriting, clarsach, piano, Gaelic language, visual arts, a special course on Non Violence and our dialogue session 'In Search of Common Ground'. Advanced booking is advised. Attendance over the whole week is encouraged but people may attend individual workshops or masterclasses. Class registration is at University Campus Ayr on Sunday 29th July from 2.00 to 4.30. A Children's programme is available for the children of adult participants. We cannot cater for children whose parents are not on site. The Ayrshire Management Centre, University Campus Ayr, Craigie, Ayr. Mornings 9.00 - 12.15 Afternoons 1.30 - 4.45 SEASON TICKETS: Workshop, all concerts and informal activities for the whole week - Sunday 29th July to afternoon of Friday 3rd - are covered by an adult season ticket priced £135.
